Emigration of Palestinian Christians
Dec 6 2007, 1:48 AM EST
What is the cause of the mass exodus of Palestinian Christians from the territories? The answer is the persecution and violence by Muslim extremists and the Palestinian Authority [PA]. It's not cause of Israel. If it's cause of Israel, then you'd also see a mass exodus of muslims from the PA. After all, no one says Israel only singles out christians for persecution. Anti-Israel propagandists claim that the Israeli occupation makes Christians and Muslims suffer. It's supposedly a "shared suffering" under the Israelis. However, there is no mass exodus of Muslims. Palestinian christians who talk about the persecution and violence by the PA and radical Islam have to hide their identity while Palestinian Christians and Muslims alike can criticize Israel showing their identity and name without risking their lives. While it is true that not all Palestinian Muslims are responsible for the violence and persecution against Christians, it is much more than isolated incidents every now and then. Justus Weiner has researched the plight of Palestinain christians for years and had many interviews with holy land Christians for years. He found that it's the PA and radical Muslims persecuting christians [not Israel] and causing them to emigrate. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
